What we offer
We provide comprehensive CPCS and NPORS accredited crane and lifting operations training courses designed to meet the high threshold of industry standards and regulatory requirements. Our expert instructors deliver practical, hands-on training that equips operators, slingers, supervisors, and appointed persons with the essential skills and knowledge needed for safe lifting operations.
CPCS
CPCS courses provide your initial qualification through theory and practical training. Successfully pass your tests and you’ll receive a Red Trained Operator Card, valid for two years. This card gets you working on site whilst you gain experience. Afterwards, you can progress on to your blue card or renew your red card.
NVQ
NVQs are workplace assessments that prove your competence in real working conditions. Complete your NVQ whilst working on site with your Red Card, and you’ll receive a Blue Competent Operator Card, valid for five years. A renewal will be required after 5 years.
What is the difference?
Most professionals in crane and lifting operations follow this progression:
STEP 1
Complete CPCS Training Course → Pass technical tests → Receive Red Card (2 years)
STEP 2
Gain On-Site Experience → Work in your role whilst holding Red Card
STEP 3
Complete NVQ Assessment → Demonstrate workplace competence → Receive Blue Card (5 years)
STEP 4
Continue Professional Development → Renew Blue Card every 5 years
The Blue Card is the industry gold standard, demonstrating that you’re a fully competent, experienced professional in your field.
