Qualification Information
This practical 3-day training course prepares you for the CPCS Technical Test for Slinger Signaller. You’ll develop hands-on skills in selecting lifting accessories, securing loads, and providing clear signals to crane operators.

Certification Information
CPCS Red Trained Operator Card
After completing the training and passing the CPCS Technical Test, you’ll receive the CPCS Red Trained Operator Card for Slinger Signaller. This two-year card demonstrates that you have the core skills and knowledge to work as a Slinger Signaller across the UK.
Progression to Blue Card:
Within the two-year validity period of your Red Card, you must complete the NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations – Slinger Signaller to obtain your Blue CPCS Competent Operator Card, which is valid for five years and renewable.
Career Development:
Red Card holders work performing slinging and signalling duties across various projects. This role provides excellent hands-on experience with diverse loads and equipment, building skills for career progression. After gaining experience as a Slinger Signaller, you may wish to progress to becoming a Lift Supervisor or eventually an Appointed Person, taking on greater responsibility in lifting operations management.

- CSCS Health & Safety Test: Passed within the last 2 years (bring your pass certificate)
- Passport Photo: One recent passport-sized photograph
